History of Redditch Netball League
The Redditch Netball League was started around 1964 and had just 4 teams.
The games were played by schools in the area and originally only Redditch residents were eligible to take part.
Within the first few years there were 8 teams, enough to form a proper Division and the League prospered, forming a committee to oversee the organisation.
Today, there are 4 Divisions in the Summer and 2 in the winter, and the games are played at a central Venue within Redditch.
The league draws interest from teams in Redditch, Bromsgrove, Birmingham and further afield including Evesham, Stratford, Worcester and Kidderminster.
It participates within the wider structure of the All England Netball Association and encourages participants to take umpiring awards and generally seeks to improve the game of Netball.
